This Spain pre wedding shoot with Manuel & Laura took place in Barcelona shortly before their wedding celebrations later that year. The relaxed engagement session combined beautiful Mediterranean light, textured streets, and natural moments together around one of my favourite cities in Europe for photography.
Barcelona has always been one of my favourite cities in Europe for photography. The architecture, soft evening light, textured streets, and relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere created the perfect backdrop for timeless and natural couple portraits throughout the session.
Spain Pre Wedding Shoot in Barcelona
Throughout the shoot, we explored different areas of the city while creating a mixture of relaxed portraits and genuine moments together. Rather than overcomplicating the session with constant posing, the focus was simply on good light, beautiful surroundings, and allowing the couple to enjoy the experience naturally.
One of the things I enjoy most about destination pre-wedding photography is how every location brings its own energy and atmosphere into the photographs. Sessions like this are not only about creating beautiful images, but also about documenting an experience and memory together before the wedding day itself.
Relaxed Destination Engagement Session
The relaxed pace of the shoot allowed everything to unfold naturally while we explored the streets and coastline around Barcelona. Destination engagement sessions often feel far more relaxed than traditional portrait shoots, which helps create more genuine interaction and natural photographs throughout the session.
The entire shoot was photographed using a Leica M camera with a 50mm lens, which felt perfect for creating intimate, timeless portraits while keeping the experience unobtrusive and relaxed.
