Documenting important milestones together is always special, and this Central London couple photoshoot was all about celebrating Efra and Damaris’ first wedding anniversary together.
This relaxed London anniversary photoshoot took us through some of the city’s most iconic locations including Chinatown, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, and Tower Bridge. Rather than creating heavily posed images, the aim throughout the session was to capture natural moments, genuine connection, and authentic emotions while allowing the couple to simply enjoy their time together exploring London.
THE STORY
Efra and Damaris first met and fell in love in London, which made returning to the city for their anniversary couple photoshoot feel even more meaningful. Before the session, the couple carefully chose several locations across Central London that had played an important part in their relationship over the years.
From the energy and crowds around Leicester Square and Chinatown to the quieter streets near Tower Bridge, every location held memories connected to their story together. The focus throughout the shoot was to keep everything relaxed and natural while documenting real moments as we explored the city together.
THE SHOOT | Central London Couple Photography
As with all my couple and engagement photography sessions, I wanted to photograph Efra and Damaris in a relaxed and honest way using the best light available while focusing on genuine interaction rather than constant posing.
Photographing in Central London always brings challenges. Around the famous landmarks, the streets were filled with tourists and distractions, which meant patience, timing, and observation became an important part of the session. I used my Leica M for most of the shoot, allowing me to slow down, carefully compose each frame, and create photographs that felt timeless and intentional.
Over several hours, we travelled from one Underground station to another, revisiting places that meant something to them and recreating some of the atmosphere and memories they had experienced there together. As evening arrived, we also created atmospheric night portraits around the city, giving the session a completely different energy and mood.
One of the things I enjoyed most about this London couple photoshoot was how naturally everything unfolded throughout the day. Even with the busy locations and constant movement around us, the session never felt rushed, allowing genuine moments and connection to happen naturally between them.
