Gosia & Matt | Midlands Portrait Photography
Alongside wedding photography, I also offer relaxed portrait sessions across the Midlands and throughout the UK. My approach focuses on natural interaction, atmosphere, and creating photographs that feel genuine rather than heavily posed.
This portrait session with Gosia & Matt took place in Nottingham city centre. After photographing in many outdoor locations around Nottingham over the years, I wanted to create something different using the city itself as the backdrop.
We started near the Nottingham Contemporary before exploring nearby streets as the evening light changed. Moving through different areas allowed us to use reflections, architecture, textures, and quieter side streets to create a more cinematic feel throughout the session.
Gosia & Matt were relaxed from the start and fully open to trying different ideas along the way. That freedom allowed the session to feel creative, natural, and easy-going without forcing anything.
One of the things I enjoy most about city portrait photography is the unpredictability. Every street corner, light source, and passing moment creates new opportunities for photographs that feel unique to both the couple and the location.
Relaxed Midlands Portrait Photography
For couples who want natural photographs without awkward posing, city portrait sessions can be a great experience. Sessions like these are designed to feel relaxed and enjoyable while creating modern portraits with personality and atmosphere.
If you are looking for a Midlands portrait photographer for a couple session, engagement shoot, or creative portrait session anywhere in the UK, I would love to hear more about your plans.
Midlands portrait photography sessions like this work especially well for couples who want something more relaxed and personal than a traditional photoshoot. Exploring the city naturally allows space for genuine interaction while creating photographs that feel modern, creative, and connected to the location itself.
Many couples also book portrait sessions before the wedding day as a relaxed engagement shoot experience.
I hope you enjoy browsing through the photographs.
