Hindu Vidhi Ceremony Photography in London | Purvi & Stephen
Purvi’s Vidhi ceremony at Dharma Bhakti Manor in Stanmore was full of everything I love about photographing multi-day Hindu weddings — emotion, colour, family, chaos, and real moments unfolding naturally throughout the day.
A few days before the main wedding celebrations with Stephen, close family and friends gathered together in London for the pre-wedding ceremonies. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere already felt emotional and full of energy.
Throughout the Vidhi ceremony, family members took turns applying the traditional Pithi paste while laughter, music, hugs, and quiet emotional moments unfolded naturally around them. These are always the parts of a wedding day I’m most drawn to photographing — the in-between moments that happen without direction.
What I loved most about this celebration was how intimate everything felt. Nothing felt forced or staged. People were fully present with each other, and that always creates the strongest photographs.
The bright colours, emotional reactions, and closeness between family members made this such a memorable part of Purvi & Stephen’s wedding celebrations to document.
Below are a few moments from the Vidhi ceremony at Dharma Bhakti Manor in London.
If you’re planning a Hindu wedding or multi-day wedding celebration and are looking for relaxed documentary wedding photography focused on real moments and genuine connection, I’d love to hear more about your plans.
