A RELAXED HINDU WEDDING CEREMONY AT SHREE JALARAM PRARTHANA MANDAL
Ravi and Jess chose to keep their Hindu wedding ceremony simple, meaningful, and focused on the people closest to them. Their intimate celebration took place at Shree Jalaram Prarthana Mandal on Narborough Road in Leicester, surrounded by close family and friends.
Even though their larger civil wedding and reception celebrations were planned for the following year, the couple wanted this part of their wedding journey documented naturally and honestly. Smaller ceremonies like these often carry a quiet emotional atmosphere that feels incredibly personal to photograph.
DOCUMENTARY ASIAN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY IN LEICESTER
One of the things I loved most about this wedding was how relaxed everything felt throughout the ceremony. Nothing was rushed or overly staged. Instead, the focus stayed entirely on the traditions, family interactions, and genuine moments shared between everyone attending.
The ceremony itself lasted less than an hour, but there was still so much emotion and connection throughout the morning. These smaller Hindu ceremonies often create some of the most authentic documentary wedding photographs because couples are able to stay fully present with the people around them.
RAINY WEDDING PORTRAITS WITH RAVI & JESS
After the ceremony, we originally planned to spend around an hour creating relaxed couple portraits at a nearby park. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans. Heavy rain continued for most of the day, meaning we only managed a few minutes outside with umbrellas before the rain became too strong.
Despite the weather, Ravi and Jess stayed completely positive and simply enjoyed the moment together. Sometimes those unexpected moments become some of the most memorable parts of the day.
