WHAT IS AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?

An engagement session is a relaxed pre-wedding photoshoot before your wedding day. Most sessions last around 60 minutes and give us the opportunity to create natural photographs without the time pressure or distractions of the wedding itself.

It’s also a great chance for us to get to know each other before the big day and helps couples feel more comfortable in front of the camera.

WHY HAVE AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?

Many couples tell me they feel nervous about being photographed — especially if they’ve never had professional photographs taken before.

Engagement sessions are designed to feel relaxed, natural, and easy-going. There’s no pressure to pose perfectly or perform for the camera. My approach is simple: gentle direction where needed, real interaction, and creating photographs that feel genuine and personal to you.

By the end of the session, most couples feel far more relaxed and confident before their wedding day.

One of the best parts of an engagement shoot is choosing a location that feels meaningful to you both.

Whether that’s the countryside, city streets, a beach, or somewhere connected to your relationship, I’m always happy to help suggest locations that suit the atmosphere you want for your photographs.

The most important thing is choosing somewhere you both feel comfortable and relaxed.
