One of my favourite things about smaller civil ceremonies is the slower pace of the day. As a result, everyone has more time to enjoy each moment naturally. This often leads to more genuine interactions between couples, friends, and family throughout the celebrations.

James & Neha stayed completely present throughout the day, which made everything feel effortless to photograph. Nothing felt overly posed or forced. Instead, the day was filled with relaxed moments together surrounded by the people closest to them.

One of the things I really like about Glenfield Registry Office is how easy and relaxed the experience feels for couples and guests. In addition, there is always parking available nearby. This makes arrivals far less stressful, especially for smaller family weddings and civil ceremonies.

After the ceremony, the nearby grounds work really well for relaxed portraits. There are plenty of quiet areas for natural photographs, even with limited time available. Because of this, couples can enjoy portraits without needing to travel elsewhere.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph several weddings at Mythe Barn, and it continues to be one of my favourite venues for couples wanting a wedding day that feels elegant while still remaining relaxed and natural throughout.

One of the standout features of Mythe Barn Wedding Venue is the amount of natural light throughout the venue itself. The Oak Barn ceremony space, with its full-height windows, oak beams, skylights, and soft neutral interiors, creates an incredible atmosphere for natural wedding photographs without feeling dark or heavily formal.

WINSTANLEY HOUSE LEICESTER WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Winstanley House is one of Leicester’s most elegant wedding venues, combining the charm of a historic stately home with the comfort and style of a modern boutique wedding venue. The beautifully restored interiors, warm lighting, and relaxed atmosphere made it the perfect setting for a winter wedding celebration.

Because the wedding took place in December, it was already dark by the time we had the opportunity to create couple portraits outside. Fortunately, the exterior lighting around Winstanley House allowed us to create a few atmospheric evening portraits that suited the venue perfectly and added to the overall feel of the day.

One of my favourite parts about winter weddings is how intimate and emotional they often feel. Rather than spending large portions of the day posing for photographs, Richard & Laura simply focused on enjoying the celebrations together naturally, which always leads to more meaningful and authentic images.
