RELAXED WINTER WEDDING
Richard & Laura’s Winstanley House Leicester wedding was a relaxed winter celebration filled with genuine moments, close family, and an intimate atmosphere throughout the day. The couple held a small civil ceremony at Glenfield Registry Office before continuing their celebrations with a beautiful reception at Winstanley House in Leicester.
As a documentary wedding photographer in Leicester, I always enjoy photographing smaller winter weddings like this because the slower pace allows couples to stay fully present and enjoy the day naturally with the people closest to them.
WINSTANLEY HOUSE LEICESTER WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Winstanley House is one of Leicester’s most elegant wedding venues, combining the charm of a historic stately home with the comfort and style of a modern boutique wedding venue. The beautifully restored interiors, warm lighting, and relaxed atmosphere made it the perfect setting for a winter wedding celebration.
Because the wedding took place in December, it was already dark by the time we had the opportunity to create couple portraits outside. Fortunately, the exterior lighting around Winstanley House allowed us to create a few atmospheric evening portraits that suited the venue perfectly and added to the overall feel of the day.
One of my favourite parts about winter weddings is how intimate and emotional they often feel. Rather than spending large portions of the day posing for photographs, Richard & Laura simply focused on enjoying the celebrations together naturally, which always leads to more meaningful and authentic images.
